16 The Revised Fine Arts TEKS

This course is designed for campus administrators and will provide an overview for ELPS district implementation requirements and guidance on how to monitor effective instruction for English language learners (ELLs). As an administrator or instructional leader, it is critical to have an understanding of how integrating the ELPS into content area instruction and aligning instruction to ELLs’ language proficiency levels provides linguistic and cognitive supports.

By the end of this module, you will be able to articulate major changes in the music TEKS from the original to the revised, compare and contrast the content of the four strands, and make plans to revise curriculum, instruction, and learning experiences to align with the revised TEKS.

By the end of this module, you will be able to identify differences between the original and revised middle school theatre TEKS, articulate the guiding principles behind the revised middle school theatre TEKS, and revise current lesson designs in order to align them to the revised TEKS.
